Ray Bradbury
Ray Douglas Bradbury was born on August 22 1920 in Waukegan Illinois. His childhood was know for his loving extended family, a common back drop for some of his story. Between 1926 and 1933 Bradbury moved back and forth from Waukegan and Tucson Arizona, in 1931 he started writing. In 1934 he moved to Los Angeles Californa were he met many talented and gifted people like speicial effects master Ray Harryhausen and radio star George Burns. Burns also paid Bradbury for offering a joke to his radio show called the Burns and Allen show. Bradbury had wanted to be an actor but his teachers could see that he had a greater gift for writing. his teachers Snow Longly Housh taught him about poetry, while Jeannet Johnson taught him to write short stories, these teachers influnced his writing for 60 years. Nearing the end of high school Bradbury grew serious about writing, he attended the science fiction league. He finished high school in 1938, He coutined to educate himself while he was selling newspaper. He started puplishing short stories in fan magizines and made his own fan magizine called futuria fan. In 1942 Bradbury wrote the lake a novel that helped Bradbury learn what his writing style. In 1945 Bradbury wrote the short story The big black and the white game, this story was voted best American short story. In 1947 he married his wife Marguerite Maggie McClure in the church of the good shepherd,Episcopal in Los Angeles. The martian chronicles in the 1950 made Bradbury known for science fiction. Another book that Bradbury got famous for was fahrenheit 451 published in 1953. He gained many awards for writing and made many tv and movies around is works. He coutined writing and being an idea consultant for many civic, educational and entertaniment projects. He died on june 5th 2012 after a long time of great writing.
